Lina Niyani
I’m Lina Niyani, a creative strategist and community builder with a background in Information Technology, program management, event production, and digital storytelling. I’m passionate about using creativity and strategy to build meaningful experiences, strengthen communities, and turn ideas into measurable impact.
My experience spans developing community-centered events, creating social and digital content, building brand partnerships, coordinating vendors and collaborators, and managing projects from concept through execution. I enjoy finding the story behind an idea and determining how content, partnerships, and authentic community engagement can bring that story to life.
I’m especially drawn to mission-driven work where creativity has a purpose beyond visibility. Whether I’m developing a campaign, producing an event, creating content, or cultivating a partnership, I approach my work with curiosity, initiative, and an understanding that strong storytelling should ultimately inspire people to connect, participate, and take action.
As I continue building my career in Los Angeles, I’m excited to bring my combination of creative execution, relationship building, technology, and strategic thinking to organizations creating meaningful social impact.

COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING & EVENT CAMPAIGN

Baltimore Says Boo was a fundraising event benefiting the Greenmount West Community Center and its community programs. As Marketing Lead, I supported the campaign from promotion through event execution, developing social content and Instagram advertising, coordinating artist and DJ outreach, and helping drive ticket sales and community participation. Working within a small team, I combined digital promotion, creative programming, and relationship-building to increase visibility for the event while supporting its fundraising mission.

HEALING THROUGH MOVEMENT
Healing Through Movement is a women-only event series I founded to create a safe, welcoming space for women to experience pole as a form of fitness, movement, and self-expression. The event was created to challenge the negative stigma often associated with pole dancing and introduce it in an environment centered on wellness, community, and empowerment. As founder and director, I lead the event from concept through execution, including programming, marketing, partnerships, vendor and talent coordination, creative direction, and event production.

Grew Instagram audience from 321 to 2,566 followers in six months, nearly 700% organic growth with no paid advertising.
ORGANIC SOCIAL MEDIA GROWTH
Sustained 100K+ monthly organic views for three consecutive months, with the majority of content reaching audiences beyond the existing follower base.

AUDIENCE → CONVERSION
Converted organic audience growth and community engagement into measurable event revenue, selling 276 of 276 available tickets across two 2026 events and generating $5.3K+ in gross ticket sales.
CONTENT, PARTNERSHIPS & CREATIVE LEAD
Developed and produced an original interview series spotlighting emerging artists and their creative journeys. Led the project from concept through execution, including guest outreach, interview coordination, creative direction, production, social promotion, and partnership development. Created audience-focused content designed to amplify each artist's story while building an engaged community around the series.

Partnerships & Brand Collaborations
Built and managed brand relationships to support content and audience growth, securing partnerships with smartwater and Topo Chico. Coordinated brand integration across production and promotional content while maintaining an authentic fit between each partnership, the project's creative identity, and its audience.

Promotional Commercial
Concept • Creative Direction • Video Production
Concepted, planned, and produced an original promotional commercial for Take Out Talks, using visual storytelling to introduce the series' personality and build audience awareness.
SOCIAL-FIRST INTERVIEW REEL
Short-Form Video • Editing • Artist Storytelling
Edited and repurposed interview footage into an Instagram Reel highlighting Grammy-nominated producers, transforming long-form conversation into concise, engaging social content.
At Towson University, I collaborated with Dr. Mahnaz Moallem and graduate student Ayeni Anuoluwapo on an innovative project to create immersive virtual simulations. We transformed MP4 videos of first-generation students sharing their experiences into engaging VR content. Hosted on the Engage VR platform, the project aimed to educate the campus community about the challenges faced by first-generation students while showcasing the potential of virtual reality technology. This initiative aligns with the rapidly growing VR market, projected to expand by 33% annually through 2032.
